Kazu Pearl’s Friday Island Pearl Farm Tour offers a unique tour experience. Learn about the cultivation, seeding and harvesting of the oyster. Enjoy a seafood lunch overlooking the magnificent blue waters of the Torres Strait. Treat yourself to a piece of gorgeous pearl jewellery which is made locally from the pearls harvested at the farm. For a unique local experience take the time to visit Rosie Ware Design Studios.  Working from her Home Art Studio and Gallery on Green Hill overlooking the Thursday Island harbour, Rosie has much to offer. Rosie is a self-taught textile contemporary visual artist and local Torres Strait Islander woman. She offers many products including t-shirts, tablecloths, tea towels, aprons, fridge magnets, notepads, greeting cards, jewellery, shells, Torres Strait books and quilters squares with Torres Strait designs.  Rosie carves her designs out of silk vinyl lino blocks and prints on to fabric, as well as some silk screen printing.  Rosie Ware Designs is open 7 days a week and welcomes locals and visitors alike. Offering an intimate 1-hour tour (max. 10 passengers), Relax Tours will take you on a personalised tour of TI's treasures. Rotary Club of Thursday Island Torres Strait is focused on providing humanitarian service to our Torres communities and those of the Western Province of PNG. They welcome newcomers and visiting Rotarians to their Friday breakfast meetings at 7am in the Grand Hotel restaurant Malu Paru and monthly social events.
